WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing ABA therapy techniques to help them develop daily living, communication, and social skills. Service locations include in-center, in-home, in-school and in the community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implement 1:1 direct service with clients in the clinic, home, and community environments, as prescribed by the BCBA
- Engaging children in structured, play-based learning to encourage social skills, communication, independence, problem-solving skills, daily living skills, and reducing maladaptive behaviors.
- Engage in ongoing rapport building
- Conduct preference assessments
- Implement the principles of reinforcement
- Conduct teaching using Discrete Trial Training, Natural Environment Training, and Task Analysis interventions
- Implement strategies prescribed in Behavior Intervention Plans
- Collect and record data across session, to the requirements stipulated by the company and funding source
- Support the BCBA in conducting assessments
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Establish and maintain working relationships with parents and caregivers
- Providing consistency and structure to help children feel secure and supported.
- Collaborating with families, supervisors, and a team of professionals dedicated to each child’s success.
- This role requires patience, adaptability, and a passion for working with children. It can be challenging, but it is incredibly rewarding.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate for our Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position will have/be:
- Current RBT certification in good standing with the BACB.
- Current (not-expired) NVABA Rbt License.
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder.
- Proficiency in implementing ABA principles and procedures.
- Ability to maintain detailed medical documentation.
- Comfortable starting with cases on day one to make the most impact and help us start services for our clients as quickly as possible.
- Ability to work well within collaborative teams to meet individual and company goals
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethic and time management skills.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes.
- At least 18 years old.
- Ability to pass a background check.
